VIFLY X150 — The World’s Fastest Mini Racing Quad
#1
VIFLY just released a new 150mm X style racing quad-the X150, this model focuses on speed and power. It adopts 150mm airframe to keep the lightest weight but compatible with 4’’ propellers. In the market, almost no competitors can put 4’’ props on 150mm size. The replaceable 4 arms are super-narrow (6mm) and ultra-thick (5mm) that ensure the speed and durability.

Hey johnq,
Firstly, well done on managing a 4" 150, great job!  Cool
I guess that a 3S - 4S, 750 -  850mAh battery is probably a good choice for this one?

AFAIK, to avoid FAA registration it's the AUW including flight battery that must be under 250g?
The 3S 75C  850mAh battery from Tattu weighs 85g which  sadly brings the AUW of the VIFLY X150 to 259g... Even the 700mAh 3S 60C from Turnigy (@ 80g) is still bringing it to 254g AUW.

I am in a similar boat, failing to come up with a sub 250g 4S 4" frame for the RunCam split... Angry

I wonder how heavy that antenna and RP-SMA adapter is? Swapping it out for a AXII-MMCX would probably be enough. Then if you wanted to get crazy like me you could replace all the steel screws with titanium. Both my 5" are full titanium screws.
Flying: Talon 6S 6" 2407s 381g no bat, Martian 3, 5" 2205s sooo heavy + gopro session 5 573g AUW, Aurora 5" 2205s 280g no bat, Druckbaer 3" 1404s 172g AUW 3S 550, BQE Megapixel 2.5" 1107s 139g AUW 3S 550, BabyHawk R 2.5" 164g AUW 3S 550 (stock except microeagle, CRSF, 2.5" arms) and maybe 3 more, for now...

the VIFLY 3s 35c 850mAh battery is 67g, under the FAA registration. But if you want to equip a 75c battery, it will get overweight.

How fast it it? I thought a Lizard95 or the Arfun95 was the fastest out there. BTW, 14 minute flight time????? How can that be?!?!?! Is it by hovering or by like aggressive FPV flying? Great job though!
If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!

Just at a hover...  14 mins of aggressive flying on one pack..? I think I would need a lie down after that!

The X150 used 4" props, which determine it's high speed.
although the flight time test is just hovering, It is a great breakthrough.
