Yesterday 1 refused to run as fast as the others and causes death roll (if it even manages to take off) or uncontrollable yaw while trying to feed power to get it in the air. Now another is starting to mess around, only turning when IT feels like it! Seems to be developing the same metallic click I found with the 1st one. So out of the 4 I have, only 1 is actually running properly, for how long though, who knows? They have more vibration than the racerstar which I can't understand because the bell of the racerstar's seem to be loose, where the sunnysky's are tight and have no movement. The sunnysky's rattle like hell when running and actually get hotter than the Racerstar. The Bat has actually spent more time disassembled since I put the new motors on, and has given me about 15 mins of flight. I now have 8 (out of 11) fully charged batteries that I now need to plug in and run in the motor tab of BF to discharge. my new name today is Tom BD Bad MOOD! Personally, unless there is info from SunnySky about some improvements I would rather try the 0706 happymodel's. The 0603 that have been listed on BG recently I'm pretty sure will lack the torque needed for larger (55-65mm) props. (BTW I actually forgot to post the thrust test results, lol) Personally I wouldn't go with the happymodel either - the one I got had a lot of vertical movement, it seriously looks like it is missing a washer... it vibrated horribly on smaller (31-40mm) props, sounded perfectly good on bigger, 56mm prop though... I would love to see your results, did you test with the longer 65 parrot or 66mm eachine props as well? Will post soon, let me do a bit of number crunching Done: Happymodel Sunnysky Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 18-Jan-2018, 05:34 AM (This post was last modified: 18-Jan-2018, 05:37 AM by Tom BD Bad.) Brilliant thanks Konrad! So despite the vibrations from the happymodel (which don't seem to be a problem with the longer props) they produce almost 5g more thrust than the SunnySky with 56mm props, at slightly less amperage draw. I think the Happymodel's might be half a gram heavier than the Sunnysky's, but with the extra 1mm rotor height and what look to be wider magnets (considering how closely spaced they are) they do seem to be a better choice, to me anyway. Konrad, I haven't found conclusive info about whether the happymodels have bearings, also can you confirm the length of the wires on the happymodels, I seem to remember that they looked a bit short? Thanks buddy! Happymodel has 5cm of wiring, sunnysky about 9cm. Will check the bearings in the evening (about 10h), will let you know and update both threads.
