vbat reading from pdb
#1
I'm just putting my fpv and osd system on my 250 quad. The pdb is the demoncore and i was wonder if i can solder the vbat monitor leads that will go to the minimosd on the esc pads, or do the have to go on the battery pads?

It doesn't matter, the ESC pads is basically directly connected to the battery pads. so it's okay to use either one.

Ok thanks oscar. That will make it easier as everying else is soldered in with little room to spare for the iron to get in there and hit the battery pads.

This might be irrelevant now, but you can get the osd to read vbat from the fc. It's just a setting you can enable.

I have connected to the fc from the pdb esc pads now because I didn't trust the minim readings. But isn't the fc powered by 5v from the esc?

Yes you can power your FC from esc if it has bec or you use a PDB,  but I was assuming that you have vbat connected to the fc.  To  me it just makes more sense to get the reading directly from your FC rather than have 2 devices reading separately.  Sometimes you might also need to adjust the reading of the minimum osd if you are connecting connecting vbat directly onto it.

I didn't want to forget the setup, so I just made a little guide of how I've connected everything.
