Ultimate job fluke & mini quad frustration!
#1
So I'm new to this forum but I had to share my job fluke lol
I started a new job last week in the mining industry only to find out that I was going to be sub contracted to a sister surveying company to help them get their commercial licence for their Phantom 4, DJI S900 and E384 fixed wing surveying drones! Not only that but I'm going to be getting paid to go out and teach them how to fly them!!! Woohoooo!
In Frustration matters.. I've been having a bad run with simple crashes that end in destruction =\
I'm at the stage where it's all finally clicking but when ever I push the envelope I have simple crashes that break stuff!
I'm using cheap frames and VTX's, is it time to upgrade or is it just bad luck???

It's hard to give you suggestion without knowing more about your situation Smile
so what frames and VTX are you using?
were your crashes video related? What happened that causes you to crash?

Nice job if you can find it!
Welcome to the forum, as Oscar mentioned, a bit more info on what the problems were will help us make suggestions.

My main rig is a Martian frame, I've had 2 soft "user error" crashes into the grass and broke 2 arms, I also ripped the RP-SMA plug off my cheap Eachine vtx even though I tried to isolate the ariel using zip ties. My question is if I upgraded to a Reverb or an Alien would it actually be that much stronger or maybe I should be looking at a uni body 5mm frame like the Thor until I slow down on the crashing? I can't help thinking those options equate to 10-25 spare arms for the Martian lol

I seriously doubt the Reverb or Alien are much stronger than the Martian Smile The Martian is one of the toughest frame I know...
I think it's probably cheaper to break the Martian than an expensive frame... probably a good idea to just improve your skills on a cheap frame... as you improve you will get better at avoiding hard crashes... and remember to practice on grass if you want to minimize the damage Smile

Outside of the crowd here, but if you want an unbreakable frame you can try the Fossils stuff gravity line. They make a few different sizes and they come with a lifetime warranty. You break it they replace it. I have the Gravity 280 myself and can attest to its toughness.
