74 We got one where I work. I love it (sort of puts my personal one to shame...). What is the black stuff you are using on the print bed?

15 28-Dec-2016, 10:17 AM (This post was last modified: 28-Dec-2016, 10:17 AM by Grisha0.) looks great,
i've checked the price... it's a piece of
(the price)
curious to ask, what are the most useful things you have printed (beside stuff for multi-rotors) - (over the net i've seen people claiming that most useful stuff was the redbull can holder and phone stand... i'm not convinced)
My biggest mental challenge at the moment is convincing my self that (i need it and) it will be useful after i buy some cheap version to start with.
All the best

Usefull printed parts all depend on the person printing it, i first got into the 3D printing hobby with the same attitude as you (i want one but what will i use it for ??? )
most usefull objects for me :
charging stand for the father in law's Samsung (wireless charging)
Phone holder specially designed for the AUDi A3 and again my father in law's Samsung
Glasses holder for the wife (otherwise she keeps losing them)
charging stand for my Pebble watch
Taranis mods and spare backdoors to use when i'm hydrodipping them
Gimbal protectors for all my transmitters
Logo nightlights for my kids
Pokemon / Star Wars / whatever toys for the boys
Cool skull gadgets for myself :-)
My printer is working about 2 or 3 times a week and i still love it.
It's so easy just checking Thingiverse for new stuff or new finds, slicing the objects , choosing the material and start printing .
If you are a little bit interested in DIY mods/ hacks and toys you will love it as mutch as we do :-)

15 actually i was thinking about buying some inexpensive version for two reasons
1. print stuff that i find as missing in quads/airsoft/life/whatever
2. engage my older son (6 yo) to start modeling in 3d to get his imagination into real objects
the issue is... there is a ton of crap on the market and selecting printer is quite of a challange

0 30-Dec-2016, 11:11 AM (This post was last modified: 30-Dec-2016, 11:12 AM by maxke.) That seem to be good enough reasons to start :-)
When i started to get into 3D printing some years ago there were 3 low budget options so that was easier. I saw a 2th hand Prusa I3 passing by and bought it back then . (i still have it)
Keep looking and reading and you will find your ideal low budget printer :-) and you will love it .
Greatz
