Would FC matekf411 ( STM32F411) be able to handle everything? am i wrong? some matek have been tested and works, maybe this is a version of those and is it compatible? in betaflight which FC is better to select to update? • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 All the Matek listed as supported FC have a faster chip than the F411. It does not look like it is supported, but I am not 100% sure. • Posts: 909 Threads: 59 Likes Received: 543 in 318 posts Likes Given: 730 Joined: Nov 2018 Reputation: 26 01-Aug-2019, 04:07 PM (This post was last modified: 01-Aug-2019, 05:03 PM by Scott_M.) And to use it on BLHeli_S you have to buy a license ? Screen shot from here https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight...LHeli_S-HW That may change , the link is for "Early Access" for BLHeli_S Scott • Posts: 189 Threads: 19 Likes Received: 20 in 12 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 (01-Aug-2019, 03:51 PM)voodoo614 Wrote: All the Matek listed as supported FC have a faster chip than the F411. I see it as "Early Access" costs money but it will be free later if you are willing to wait. But I don't know, just a guess. Scott aaahhh ok Maybe I should buy a drone that already has all the features to support this function. or make a new construction, choosing piece by piece • Posts: 45 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 14 Joined: Jan 2020 Reputation: 0 Has anyone found out if it works on the Matek F411 board yet? Is this still an unanswered question? • Posts: 189 Threads: 19 Likes Received: 20 in 12 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 I had forgotten about this discussion ... I am now using rpm filter BF 4.1 and esc firmware of jazzmaverick, it works a wonder but it is still in alpha version, perhaps in these days it has gone into beta. • Posts: 45 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 14 Joined: Jan 2020 Reputation: 0 26-Jan-2020, 07:28 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Jan-2020, 07:30 PM by Andy0679.) Which version of JazzM are you running? 16.7.3? Also which target for your FC? And which version of target, unified or legacy? • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 (26-Jan-2020, 05:05 PM)Andy0679 Wrote: Has anyone found out if it works on the Matek F411 board yet? Just make sure that your CPU load is within a safe range. • Posts: 181 Threads: 3 Likes Received: 39 in 35 posts Likes Given: 38 Joined: Oct 2019 Reputation: 3 26-Jan-2020, 08:53 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Jan-2020, 08:57 PM by ProppedCodger.) I think it's my GepRC Cygnet that uses a MatekF411 target but anyway it works lovely with BF 4.1 and JazzMaverick's 16.77_48 firmware, DShot 300, 4k-4k, etc., total CPU load something like mid-30% range on that machine if memory serves (all my machines are H ESCs so far but that doesn't matter anymore). I'd recommend going right to 16.77 and not to bother with the previous versions but "like, that's just my opinion man." Sorry, watching the Big Lebowski for the 68th time... • Posts: 45 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 14 Joined: Jan 2020 Reputation: 0 Alright Sounds good. I pulled a melon head and forgot that JBs video was made a while ago and the version must have updated since then lol. I'll def load the newest. I'll do it tonight when I'm not busy anymore. Thx for the help all. • Posts: 45 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 14 Joined: Jan 2020 Reputation: 0 Oh one more quick question. It's best to start from scratch with a fresh FW flash to the FC when I do this right? • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 (26-Jan-2020, 11:20 PM)Andy0679 Wrote: Oh one more quick question. Not necessarily. • Posts: 181 Threads: 3 Likes Received: 39 in 35 posts Likes Given: 38 Joined: Oct 2019 Reputation: 3 I always check "Erase" when upgrading firmware personally just to be safe, especially since 4.0 with so many changes happening. I write-down my rates and filter settings on paper quickly beforehand, the rest can be banged-off manually in a few minutes from memory. • |
