Typical flight time
#1
Hi,
I'm trying to see what realistic flight time everyone is building their quads to?

On a mini-quad, the battery weight is ~40-50% of the AUW.

For reference on my sub-250g build with a 3s 850mah, I get about ~6min of "easy flying", to a 3.5v shutdown.

thanks,

I get about 3 to 4 minutes on a 4S 1300mAh 65C on a ZMR-X210 frame to a 3.5v Alarm. If I just potter about I can get maybe 4 to 5 minutes tops. But, my quads are all around the mid to high 500gram mark with Lipo and HD cam onboard.

My experience is very limited, but I get about 7 minutes or so on my 250 fully loaded (627g), with a 3s 1500mah 60C.  Very gentle flying with much of the time spend with me walking to crash sites..... Confused

Hey sirdude....Walking is not flying! I only know this because I do more walking than flying at times(searching for racer). I definately feel different walking thank when flying.......hehehe

LOL, I used to spend 80% of my time doing the walk of shame, now I am down to about 40%, so I must be doing something right, I still fly like shit, but at least I am flying more and crashing less. Big Grin , Oh, but when I crash now, I really crash, not that half baked soft crash, more like a jet hitting the ground with full afterburner on.

I crashed every heat during today's races Sad. So that's, what...around 100%? Gotta admit the adrenaline had me doing things I know I shouldn't. But had the best looking crash of the day at least Smile

Hey, I would be proud of that one as you hit the target at least! LOL. I think you were supposed to aim for the "Bullseye" though.........

Yeah, they told me afterwards you are supposed to go for the BIG hole, not the small ones. What challenge is there in that?
