TX to FC to ESC to motor confusion
#1
Hi everyone,

I have a problem with getting my Tx and FC and motors in the end to react in a  sort of linear way. I have had a Symantec x5c clone for a while and kind of know what to expect from the motor reaction when I push the throttle. In my current build Falcon 250 frame with sp racing f3 FC Little bee 20a ESC and racer dear br2205 motors..the TX and Rx are from hobbyking  hkt6a v2. I still don't get a consistent response from the TX throttle movement..I have calibrated the escs and the TX as well....when I connect the TX in betaflight I can only get a rough range from 1140 to 1840....is this even doable or should I better save and get a better TX Rx combination....I have tried to recalibrate the TX but can't get it anywhere near the 1000 Mark in Betaflight.  Maybe some of the experienced users in here can help...adjusting maybe some settings...I could post a CLI dump if needed. Thanks for any help and xuggestions...

If you can't get the radio's end points to stretch, you can use the rxrange command in the CLI to tell Betaflight what the actual range is. Once you have set the ranges manually, Betaflight will scale the range to fit into 1000 - 2000.

See: https://github.com/cleanflight/cleanflig...figuration

Also, if you can't get the mid point set to 1500 as it should be, you can set mid_rc in the CLI to what it actually is. Check what the centre value is after you use the rxrange command to configure the range as it may change from what it is now.

Thanks unseen for the info..I thought it might be rxrange that needs adjusting but wasn't quite sure so I thought I better ask..Wink

Will report back when changes are made tonight after work..Smile hopefully this is it and I can omit looking for a new Tx/Rx

It should work fine. I've done the same thing with some micro DSM2 receivers that have limited channel range.

Good news. Don't forget to recalibrate your ESCs!
