Turnigy Multistar ESC
#1
I have the Turnigy Multistar 30A Slim V2 ESC With BLHeli OPTO 2-6S from hobbyking.
Link: 30A ESC.
They work good for me, but i would like to know if it's possible to install the BLHeli bootloader on it, because i like the possibillity to adjust all the ESC's through the FC.
If it's possible what is the easiest way to do it? Can it done with the USB adapter from turnigy or do you have to use a arduino or the Atmel Atmega Socket Firmware Flashing Tool.

Hello Konrad,

I have found that blog about changing the bootloader, but i was curious if someone has expirience with this brand to change the bootloader.
And if it's wise to change the bootloader or keep the default one, i don't know what is standard with this ESC's, if it's something from Turnigy or not.

These ESC are as old as my grandpa Big Grin not sure if it's worth the trouble messing with them..
they come with BlHeli firmware do they not already have BLHeli bootloader? if not you can probably flash them directly to the chip or solder pads provided (if they are available)

Good to know that they are oldies and not worth the trouble, i will keep them as they are.
I can not reach the ESC's through the FC so i think that there is no BLHeli bootloader on it.
What are today the all round ESC's?
