Ts215 omnibusf4sd & soft serial
#1
Hi guys.

I have a wizard ts215 with "have" uart1 3 and 6. I hooked my rxsr receiver to uart1 and tramphv to uart3 but I'm not able to find uart6 connector/pads.

Because of that, I'm messing with softserial and have many questions.

First of all here is the manual.
https://www.eachine.com/downfile.html?pa...uction.pdf

My questions are :
Can I "share" tx1 for smartport as softserial if I have sbus on rx1?
Can I share rx3 as softserial if I have tramp on tx3?
And last one, I know that we are able to use led pads for softserial but this board has 4 rgb connectors with 5v, gnd, led in and led out. Which should I wire if I use led strip as softserial?

Thanks a lot guys

Yes you can have softserial on TX1 and sbus on regular RX1.

Same for RX3 and TX3. Yes, as long as one is softserial.

I am not 100% sure, but it should be led out.

You didn't not ask, but RX6 should be where you see IBUS.

First of all, thanks a lot for your reply voodoo, you made my day

Rx1 and Rx6 shares physically the uart port. If you select IBUS on betaflight it will be RX6 but if you select SBUS it will be RX1

But doesn't matter, if i can softserial rx3 for smartport and let tx3 for irc tramp im done

Again, thanks a lot. I was really confused about what can or can't do with softserial

The reason SBUS is RX1 and IBUS is RX6 is because SBUS needs a hardware inverter for the signal on F4 FC. On most other FCs, you normally see SBUS and SAT labeled and instead of SBUS and IBUS

Here is some good reading.

Hi again!!!!

i was trying to make smartport works.

First i tried to softserial rx3 as tx11. I tried it with inverted and uninverted signal and changed between the 4 possibilities of tlm_halfduplex and tlm_inverted and nothing worked.

But i was able to get smartport telemetry sharing tx1 as softserial with uninverted signal (sharing this tx with rx1 wich is sbus)

Now i need to update my r-xsr receiver to the newest firmware in order to have lua scripts working.
