Trying out a course
#1
Thought I would share my most recent video.

We were trying a layout for a course. Starts with a slalom, loop round to the left and onto a straight and around to the left again to get a couple of hoops and back to the start.

Still quite new and learning the fpv. Only been flying fpv a few months and here in Scotland the weather has really limited the flying. Was quite gusty winds the day of this video as well.

Our club is a flying club so we were trying to make use of the runways!

Right at the end I had a couple of trys with the L shaped test course from the Rotor Riot guys. Long length of 40m and short length of 20m. Start in the middle run up the long length. 180 and back again to the middle. 90 degree turn out the short length and 180 back to the middle again and that is 1 lap. Do 3 laps and see your time.

Unfortunately my runcam battery died so I only recorded just over 1 lap but my total time was 31.03 seconds!

Thanks.

Thanks Oscar. Those gates aren't easy to see. I tested the idea using a couple of pool noodles and glass fiber tent poles. I got the yellow pool noodles on the first gate which are quite easy to see.

One of the other guys in the club spotted some cheap pipe insulation and tried wrapping them in brightly coloured duct tape. Those ones aren't as easy to see until your almost on top of them. Keeps it intesesting though.

They are actually quite small as well. 3m length of foam bent into a hoop. The hobbyking gates look massive in comparison!
