Troubleshooting BFF3 OSD and Video Problems
#1
My problem is:

I have video when I wire the foxeer right to the vtx and power the vtx from the RAM but no OSD. If I wire the Vtx to Vout and the camera to Vin, I get the OSD overlay but no video. Seems like a common problem. I've tried reflashing to an earlier version - nothing. I've tried power from vbat, from the 12v pin (I bridged the vbat and ram on the back). I've tried a Unify TBS Pro (5v) instead of the HV and bridged 5v to RAM. Same! I've tried different cameras, vtx, blah, blah, blah. I'm going nuts over here. Why can't I get video through the FC? It's clearly sending the signal because I have the OSD and I know the camera is fine because I get video when I go directly from the vtx.  I have voltage everywhere you expect (checked with a multi). I guess I don't need OSD, but for a newbie, I need Battery info, etc. because my flights range so much in time. I really would like to run the OSD and GET VIDEO! [Image: 1f642.png]:-) Any help appreciated. I've scoured the web and ran across the problem on many posts - with no solution. Most just posted they gave up.

I haven't done it yet, but would powering the camera from the Battery do any good?  It seems the vin and vout is the issue. But who knows. Maybe it's a powering issue from the 5v to the camera.

Anyone have this issue or can they think of a solution I didn't try?

Have you checked the video format settings on your camera and on the OSD?
('Auto' works best in Betaflight with an onboard OSD.)

Can you take some clear photos of how you have wired everything?
