Trouble flashing firmware? Try this!
#1
Don't know if this is old news, but I thought I'd post it.  I picked up a Revo F4 flight controller and came loaded with BF 3.0.0 and need to update the firmware to run DShot.  Board connects fine, but flashing is a total no-go.  I've been trying everything for the last couple nights but I couldn't even get it into boot, DFU, whatever.  Came across a thread where someone suggested the Impulse RC Driver Fixer.  I thought it would be another one of these Zadig type deals which didn't work for me, but WTH, nothing to lose at this point.  Clicked on the link, box opened, green status bar went full and a message popped up "drivers fixed".  Connected the board and hit flash, BOOM BF 3.1.7 loaded!  4 hours of pissing around and this whole process literally took 3 clicks and less than a minute.  Here's the link

I remember i had problems flashing the revo at first, too, tried several different things, but in the end what helped was to disable "full chip erase" ... maybe keep that in mind once you do the next upgrade Wink

Yes, I tried that.  Apparently has to do with the fact that it's an F4.  Probably also the fact that it's the first board I've had with virtual com port.  But I did download and unpack the correct STM32 drivers.  Oh well, all good now and nice weather coming for the weekend............

Just to report, this tool is awesome Smile fixed my driver issue for Betaflight F3 board Big Grin

I could connect to the FC, but couldn't flash latest firmware on it (Error: failed to open serial port)..
Without doing anything else, I just run that tool and restarted Chrome and bingo it worked!
