Trouble Flashing ESC's
#1
Hi folks...

Newbie here...this is the first of what I am sure will be many many stupid questions.  Building a 250 and I just got the ESC's (Rotorgeeks 20A).  I'm not really flashing them, but wanted to see which version of BLHeli is on them.  The first two worked fine, but the last two started giving me a com port error OR it gives me a connection to ESC failed.  It does this on either of the last two I am trying to read.  Nothing changed so I don't know why it started this mess.  Any ideas/suggestions?  Thank you.

how are you reading them? FC pass-through or using the programming tool from Rotorgeek?
maybe try the other way if you haven't already.

I finally got it to work last night and flashed them from 14.2 to 14.4 BLHeli. I was using the "programming tool" from Rotorgeeks. I am not sure what (if anything) I did differently then I was doing earlier in the evening, but it started working for all of them instead of just the two. I was thinking about using the FC (Naze32 Full Rev 6), but I wanted to flash it with CF first. BTW Oscar, I have been following your blogs for a while and I have absorbed a HUGE amount of knowledge from them!! I am sure I will have more questions as I move through this build, but thank you for doing those!.
