Tramp HV randomly dieing
#1
So, I had some time today, strangely enough it was sunny, so I decided to go for a couple of batteries. On my 6th battery my Tramp HV decided to die mid air while I was going full speed through trees, luckily enough nothing was broken apart from a bent prop but, I mean, seriously? What could have caused it? The only thing I can think of is that it was a wet day  but... This is the second Tramp that dies on me, I'm starting to think they are not very well designed...

Ok, it looks like I've been overreacting a bit. After some troubleshooting it turned out that the Tramp worked fine but it just not getting any current from his power lead. I had to get the power from another pin, apparently that pin died mid air for no reason, go figure... No idea what happened there but everything seems to be working now. Weird. (I'm using DYS F4 pro flight controller).

The pin died? You mean it's no longer giving any voltage when battery is plugged in?

If I understand the issue correctly, I had exactly the same thing happen to me.  Turns out that the thing gets so hot the heat shrink on it apparently starts contracting and it pushes the button and either sends it into pit mode or turns it off.  I just cut the heat shrink leaving a small hole where the button is and my problem went away. If that pin died yet other 5v pads still have voltage then the regulator is working. Chances are a broken trace dropped your quad. If so the question is how did a trace break.
