I built a simple race on a PITA map in Liftoff. I've used the Minus Two map a few times when working on throttle control but I've never been any good at the built in courses in Liftoff. So today I finally got inspired to create my first race course in the sim. 

This course is basically me trying to avoid the use of gates in the map as the map itself is already difficult enough without having to navigate gates on top of it. 

I think a good pilot could complete 3 laps in less than 1 minute, my personal best time is 1:12 so far which I haven't been able to reproduce anything close since. 

If you're a liftoff user give it a try and let me know what you think. It's not very popular in multiplayer because most people are afraid of Minus Two courses lol

Nice! at first I thought you beat me by a few seconds and then I looked back and realized not quite. I'll have to post my own video when I get a chance. Minus Two really is a tough map, this one is called "plus 1" because I was trying to make as easy of a course as I could on the difficult map.

I've tried so many times to even complete this track, I almost gave up Great you didn't place additional obstacles, that would make it impossible

Only thing that could potentially make this course better is to mark the turns better - maybe place some shiny/bright things on columns? Not sure what kind of elements are available in the editor.

The markers are difficult on this map because it's so dark. I tried to mark the track as best as I could, but on certain turns I found it to be especially difficult.

I'm going to make another course again soon. The next one will definitely be on a different map.

A bit beyond my skills at the moment
I found out how important proper controller callibration is, as i repeatedly stuck to the roof as soon as i armed the quad .
Sorted now so will get some practice.
Think my one lap video would be one hour long at the moment so wont be recording any time soon ?

Maybe an early vid would be good to post up or keep for yourself. It's good to have some benchmarks to see how you have improved.
They can be good motivators!

I'd watch it... I might not watch the whole hour, but at least parts of the video  

Then again I am kinda a junky for the videos posted on IntoFPV :p They're some of my favorite flight videos.

Lol, Tom BD Bad, started out as Tom BD BadBoy on the original xbox live. I remember playing HALO and the SD screens back then made it look like Tom BO Bad - That's why I have virtual friends because my body odor makes meeting new people in real life quite challenging!
