I can get out to a kilometer on 200mw, so 350 should work for the silliness that is Anza Pairing it up with the VAS Minion Pro. Looking forward to seeing what this will do now that I have focused the Caddix Ant camera. Was really surprised that the nano camera was able to provide an awesome picture, while not a Falkor 3...it is impressive! This should work great for an ultra light 3" riptastic quad! Looking at Ronin's latest offerings...maybe a new frame soon. For now though, the iFlight IX3 Lite will suffice SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Installed the VTX on The Leaf...works awesome! Took me a minute (or five) to figure out the silly thing was locked in pit mode when I first powered it up. "There, damn...", "There it is again, WTF". Stays cool at 100mw and gives me the entire yard to FPV, even sitting on our radio dead zone patio. The rear patio cover is metal plating with a cement slab...it really messes with 5.8 video. If I sit in the front yard away from the house, it is perfect! In the front yard, I can reach about 150m with the power set to 25mw. This is a decent little VTX. I have one I'm about to install, and I have heard that is the hardest part. It seems that turning pitmode off-on-off through smart audio is the magic ticket. • Posts: 1,370 Threads: 118 Likes Received: 1,413 in 730 posts Likes Given: 1,077 Joined: Jun 2019 Reputation: 41 I found the SA 2.1 JSON vtx table file to fix my issue. Here is a link to the FB page on RUSH about the issue. https://www.facebook.com/TEAM.RUSHFPV/po...448292791/ Save this to a text file with the extension .JSON and load it in vtx tables area of BFC. { "description": "Betaflight VTX Config file for SmartAudio 2.1 (US version)", "version": "1.0", "vtx_table": { "bands_list": [ { "name": "BOSCAM_A", "letter": "A", "is_factory_band": true, "frequencies": [ 5865, 5845, 5825, 5805, 5785, 5765, 5745, 5725 ] }, { "name": "BOSCAM_B", "letter": "B", "is_factory_band": true, "frequencies": [ 5733, 5752, 5771, 5790, 5809, 5828, 5847, 5866 ] }, { "name": "BOSCAM_E", "letter": "E", "is_factory_band": true, "frequencies": [ 5705, 5685, 5665, 0, 5885, 5905, 0, 0 ] }, { "name": "FATSHARK", "letter": "F", "is_factory_band": true, "frequencies": [ 5740, 5760, 5780, 5800, 5820, 5840, 5860, 5880 ] }, { "name": "RACEBAND", "letter": "R", "is_factory_band": true, "frequencies": [ 5658, 5695, 5732, 5769, 5806, 5843, 5880, 5917 ] }, { "name": "IMD6", "letter": "I", "is_factory_band": false, "frequencies": [ 5732, 5765, 5828, 5840, 5866, 5740, 0, 0 ] } ], "powerlevels_list": [ { "value": 14, "label": "25 " }, { "value": 20, "label": "100" }, { "value": 26, "label": "400" } ] } } • Posts: 3,288 Threads: 129 Likes Received: 2,740 in 1,644 posts Likes Given: 2,969 Joined: Apr 2017 Reputation: 65 (12-Jan-2022, 06:41 PM)estill Wrote: Any tips of getting it out of pitmode? If you use the OSD/Stick commands to manipulate the VTX, you will find one of the options "PIT". It was ON in my menu. turned it OFF and a CONFIRM later and it is OFF now. I am running Betaflight 4.3 on the craft. There is a preset for the Tiny Tank available in the configurator and it sets it up on perfect. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! This is interesting, is this in advanced mode on the video tx page in bfc? • Posts: 3,288 Threads: 129 Likes Received: 2,740 in 1,644 posts Likes Given: 2,969 Joined: Apr 2017 Reputation: 65 13-Jan-2022, 02:55 AM (This post was last modified: 13-Jan-2022, 03:07 AM by kaitylynn.) In order to load 4.3.0RC2 on my craft, I needed to update my BF Configurator to 10.8.0RC1. There is a PRESET tab and there is an Official Preset for the Rush Tank line of VTX. If you are on BFC 10.7.0, there is no Preset tab. Just a quick add, the 10.8.0 BFC is a Release Candidate, so there might be bugs. It has worked for my two quads that still run Betaflight without error so far. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Addicted :) • |
