Throttle Expo and Throttle mid
#1
About throttle expo and throttle mid (in cleanflight)
if i want my quad to hover at 50% (center of the throttle stick), should i raise throttle expo and drop throttle mid?

Because default on betaflight is throttle mid 50 and expo 0 and my quad hovers at about 30% (roughly 1 meter off the ground)..
The thing is that i want better resolution and softer throttle response.

Any thoughts on this?

If you are hovering at around 30%, then you want to bring your throttle mid down. I like really soft throttle feel at low end throttle to make it easier to maintain low altitude flying. I match my throttle mid with my hover point on the throttle. 40% throttle for steady hover = 40 throttle mid. Try 35 for your throttle mid and set expo to your desired feel for throttle response (I keep mine at 70).

Thanks.. but i had to drop my throttle mid all the way down to 5 and my expo to 60 and now it hover around 40%.. thats strange

Update: just realized I had expo setup on my TX as well, cleared it it's working as expected now

Guys, where is better to set expos - on quad's brain or on the TX ? And why?

I personally would use no curve or expo on the TX, so you have max resolution on the sticks.. Expo only on FC
