The Trip: A 3-Part Mini Series
#1
Recently I went on a 2 week business trip that started in Denver and then I went to Las Vegas from Denver. On the trip I brought most of my gear and did some flying. Because I was on the road, I really didn't really fly especially aggressive or try to push myself any. I have been working lately on trying new things with video edits and the types of clips I include. I tried to create more content and not just flight video. My thought is if someone were to watch all 3 videos they'd have a feel for having been on the trip with me. It may or may not work, who knows lol.

I'll post all 3 videos here in the OP, but I am starting only with the first one. When I finish the third video I'll upload the second one. And then shortly after I'll put the third one in as well.

Cool Vlog and flights Smile keep them coming!
Please do some higher altitude cruising and landscape filming next time when you are in a new spot Smile would be nice to mix up the fast close proximity flying with some relaxing shots too!

Thanks Oscar,

I've only recently started doing more of that. Video number 2 might be more what you're talking about. Video number 3 has a couple of shots like that but not a ton.

Posting second video now. (note: video is posted in the OP)

I'd like to note... since video 2 was so long, I had the chance to do some proper music mixing. I don't think I've had to put 4 songs into a video before and it was kind of difficult to pick out the music but in the end I think I found the right musical selections and transitions between them. Out of all of the videos # 2 makes me the most homesick. I miss the desert even if one of my crashes did cause a horrible dusty mess to tehStein that forced me to drive back into town for a can of air.

Yeeeaaahhh baby,
gettin' those sticks jugglin', Lipoohh-Killaaahh!!
Seriously, thank you for sharing and taking us along,
and I see the evolution we are sort of "putting onto the parquet in a duet"  ROFL you already wrote about - I mean in parallel, concerning flying skills and style,
or just plain: stick time  Big Grin
Your "leap to vlogging" has gotten you quite ahead, though  Cool  , and I fear I'm not quite sure yet if and when I would venture into that, and this by no means should mean that I doubt the quality of the contribution of vlogging to society,
as I am convinced that it is just another way or channel of communication.
Point is, I have an enormous professional necessity (..and reluctance..) to film some tutorials for my patients, as I'm too lazy to put the text down and teach it to a model (..and I'd rather spend the money on quads Big Grin ) - so I'll do that next.
I'll try to boil down the physiology, anatomy and the problem solving of dental hygiene and medicine into an easy sirup,
however the subject itself may very well be quite unpleasant to most people, so I'll have to wrap it in a lot of candy to bring it across.. Popcorn

Winter has come here. Snow is starting to cover surfaces above 1000m, and down to where I live soon enough, so let's take a bath in conformal coating Cry  , or rather the quad, and rip the white! Big Grin

Hasta priesto, my man!
P.S.: Not quite sure about when I'll visit my sister yet, but she lives in Phoenix AZ now, and that would be about a 7h ride 2 rip together, whatcha think? Rolleyes

AZ is about a 5-6 hour drive depending on how many stops you make from LV... unfortunately that's not where I live anymore. I am more like 30-40 hours drive away now in the Atlanta area. If I was still in LV though I'd happy meet you part way in kingman or something lol.

Third video is online now... it's the best one I think. I am incredibly happy with the score especially. (although I was really happy with it in the others as well)

As for adding some talking and vlog elements... my thought is, I might as well say hi too and explain some of the areas. Also there aren't enough mide-rate pilots talking to the camera if you ask me :p

Thanks FF, I had been planning the dry lake bed a week or two before I went on the trip. I knew that it might not be great because it's really just a big flat chunk of desert, but I wanted to do it anyway... I just wish I hadn't had so much problem out there with dirt and props and everything.
