The Barn & Doors
#1
Yesterday I managed to get out and do some flying at a spot I had been previously. I also figured I'd do some playing around with multi-camera shots during the vloggy bits. (forgive me if the view changes are excessive, I am just experimenting and having fun with it... I have no intention of being professional at the video stuff especially when filming my own ugly-mug! lol so if I do it wrong it's OK)

When I was out there I didn't really know that I had footage that was any good but in the end I think this is my best video yet :SmileI am feeling really happy about this one. Of course I still have tons of work to do and lessons to learn, but if I didn't then I'd probably not be as interested in this hobby and all the fun side-hobbies that it seems to spawn (diy electronics, physical exploration, cinematography, radio communications, etc etc)

This video is all teh'Stein except for the take off in the beginning. I was having bumble problems. This is probably the most aggressive that I've been with teh'Stein so far. I haven't quite pushed this quad to it's limits before this session but it really showed that it can take it!

Anyway thanks for coming out flying with me as my virtual flying buddies!

Way to go, Carl-O!! Big Grin
..I was actually happy to finally see you - it sort of helps the virtual flying buddy connection, yer know..
Dig your vlog style! Good idea, good approach, I'll be your fanboy! Wink
It seems we're developing sort of in parallel,
and I'm not giving up on the thought of ripping together one day, who knows, we could meet up somewhere in the States or when you should come over to Europe, there'll always be a room & bed ready for you in my appartment!
Keep it up, thanks for sharing and let's E-V-O-L-V-E together! Cool

Hey Campy, no doubt happy to fly with you virtually as is. There is kind of a group of us who were all coming up at the same time at the beginning of this year and we've all come quite a far way through!

As for in person, standing invitation to you, and really anyone here on intoFPV if you're ever in the Atlanta area I can show off a couple of spots.

As for me being in Europe... I've decided that I'll be taking an international vacation between now and 2020... so who knows! It's tough to imagine going so far as to bring flying gear with me on that trip but that would definitely make it even more fun!

Same here! Carl if your proposed trip might include some safari and brings you to SA it would be awesome to meet up, same goes for anyone from the forum. My sister comes out here to visit every couple of years, but otherwise only 1 friend of mine has made the 24hr (door to door) journey from London in the almost 8 years I have lived here!

And if your trip doesn't start till 2020 I might have actually received some of my orders from BG by then too!

Thanks Kerni,

I am definitely working on it! I feel like I am finally getting the concepts behind precision and smoothing... now I just have to be better at applying both together a greater percentage of my flying. With that and some more tree shakedowns I should be able to keep getting better with time!
