I managed to get my hands on some the new TBS Triumph antennas. I thought it was another large covered antenna. But when I opened it and found these things are really SMALL!!!
Here is what I think:
Pro:
1) Small size
2) Reasonable Price
3) Looks unique, and not like a mushroom!
4) Great reception
Con:
1) RP-SMA - SMA version to be coming shortly
Anyways, during my tests, I didn't see a lot of difference in performance when it came down to it, one would sputter in one area and one in another. However, I was also using an SMA adapter, so it was hindered from the start and may be better in the end. Other than the RP-SMA, I don't see any down side to running this antenna over what I tested against, SpiroNet antenna. I didn't crash it, hit it with a bat, or do anything like that, so the durability will be left up to you guys.
They are currently only availble in RP-SMA (They are RP-SMA for now because the SMA manufacturer goofed the tolerances up. This caused massive failures in the SMA version. Long story short.)
