TBS Crossfire Lite : A wifi module in the JR adapter?
#1
Hi.
I juste opened my Crossfire lite Taranis adapter and I noticed a Wifi or Blutooth inside. Though it is not presented in the specs. Is it used? is it  usable?

That should be the module that is producing the 915 Mhz frequency if you are in the States.

Someone else asked the same question on reddit almost a year ago (HERE).

There was a suggestion that it might be for "future-proofing" but I find it hard to believe that would be the case if after all this time it still hasn't been implemented for anything, so Voodoo's theory sounds more plausible and it tallies up with another response in the reddit thread suggesting that they might be making use of the WiFi module to encode the data packets that Crossfire uses, which are apparently similar to WiFi data packets. I have no idea if that is true or not. Just relaying what others have suggested/written.

It is for future proofing. They have been waiting on the patent forever. It will be activated soon. Its going to be able to talk to their new fusion goggle module and some other cool things that are coming. Its been stated in the tbs lounge repeatedly. All of the crossfire modules have them. Unless you have an old full size. Then you can order a new jr module and you are set.
