Tarot mini 250
#1
Hi!
First time reading and posting in this forum.
I like to share with you my first 250 build, the Tarot mini 250. Its probably not the easiest build if your not a master at soldering. My soldering looks a bit scary but it works. ;-)

Weight with all gear and props is 389g and with Lipo 1500mah about 502g.

I have a question on the build that perhaps someone can answer. I use 12A ESCs and what i can read about my motors (EMAX 2204 2300kv) they should not overload the 12A ESCs even with 6/4 props. But i can be misteken, any one who can shed som light on this? :-)

See the images here or/and read the full blog post here.  Building the tarot mini 250 quadcopter

Hello!
From what I see of specs I can find, you are pushing it very close to 12A:

There is more data, from actual testing, according to which it will be <10A with 6x3 props.
It seems that peak A of motors with 6x4 will be somewhere near peak A of ESCs. However, you will not always pushing motors to the peak, otherwise you'll loose your quad in the sky ((:
I think that this combination rather ok for 5x3 and 5x4 props.
Be aware that if you switch to 6x3 and, even more to 6x4, you'll better to fly slowly first several times and touch ESCs after landing to see if they getting hot.

Thank very much you for your input, very helpful! Ill try it out slowly and see what happens ;-)
