Taranis stuck on first screen
#1
Have anybody experienced having their Taranis lock on the first screen (opentx)?
Even when I try to power it off it stays on and when unplugging the lipo and restarting same thing happen.

Either bad SD card or it could be a stuck button.

I'd start by pulling out the SD card and trying it that way and if no result, remove the faceplate and test to see if any buttons are impeded.

I think I remember mine doing that when I first got it. Wound up upgrading the SD card and haven't had an issue since.

I tried a new SD card.. it didn't work.
Buttons are all fine. I double checked.

There's a small watch type looking battery inside.
Pop it out.
Turn on your Taranis (it will work) turn it off, put the little watch battery back in...

hopefully it will solve it Smile

I had some trouble like that. Flashing a new firmware fixed it. YMMV.

Re flash the firmware as redrom suggests, my taranis had some kind of weird woopsee earlier this year, strange noise then lost bind on 3 receivers. Re flashing sorted it, but not before I'd sent it back to the seller thinking it was something broken within the tx itself

This is kind of a necropost, but is exactly the same issue that I'm having.
I purchased the transmitter/pair pretty recently (3 weeks?). The system worked brilliantly for three flights, then I went to use it today and it appeared to lock on the boot screen.  I've reflashed the firmware (confirmed by a new boot screen), but it is still locked.
I have used a new SD card, when I went to flash the new firmware.
