Taranis Q X7 Or X9D plus
#1
High Five  All
Read and saw many review and comparison blogs and vlogs on Q X7 and X9D but still i am confused ,
Which one should i opt for ?
Probably this will be the last time i am gonna buy a radio ( until something so revolutionary pop up )
From the videos and what i read , understood that most of the features are same , unless the change in gimbals , display , few switches ...
Even the features are same the price is not so close  Big Grin . May be that's the factor that made me to rethink .
What i was looking ahead and collected was for X9D , Who ever i look for they all use X9D  Cool   ( not coz of that any way )
Please Help me to chose the right one

My mind have been doing the selection jumps between these XD and Q7 thing for a while , I can't allow that for a long

NB  : I still have a leaning towards X9D plus

IMO QX7 is more than sufficient for mini quads. Smaller screen and not as good resolution but other than that, you're only losing the sliders on the side which would only be used for rate adjustment and gimbal control on a larger AP craft. Range is same and has most of the features of it's big brother. I say go for the QX7 and use the money you saved on other cool stuff!

It's not confusing, it's a subjective question. If the number of switches on the smaller radio are fine for your current and future needs, buy that. Otherwise, the big radio is better.

I have been using the X7 for about a month now and have zero complaints. Does everything I need it to for racing/freestyle miniquads. Gimbal upgrades are in the works also, Im pretty sure.
As well as mine came with a neat FC/Rx combo the XMPF3E Im going to use/test in my next build.
I planned to fly mosty multirotors over fixed wings and AP rigs, so that was my deciding factor to help the start up budget Wink

I think I voted wrong. When I saw it I thought "which one do I have, well the X9D so I should vote that one" then I realized it was more about is it necessary.

All I can say to echo the above is that there are way more switches and knobs than I will ever need to fly my quads. I use 6 channels and the pull switch I have tell me different things depending on if I am flying a simulator or the vortex. I haven't gotten into using the telemetry yet but if I were making the decision I'd probably want to know that all that and the ability to program logic are the same and otherwise I'd probably go with the QX7.

Well if you need an "excuse" then grab a screenshot of the poll right now, and get the expensive one then blame it on majority rule

You could always do what I do... I consider and think of my options then I get convinced on one answer, then switch to the other, then convinced back to the previous answer... and then one day I buy one or the other on impulse to stop denying myself the joy of having whatever it is I am waiting to buy!

Very true! Too much deliberation is just as bad as too little. Smile

Whenever I had a tough decision to make, I drank a dozen shots of whiskey. Made the decision much easier.
