Taranis not connecting to Companion 2.1
#1
Today I spent all day trying to connect my Taranis Plus to the PC.

-Whenever I connect it via the usb cable and try to read the Profiles off the Taranis, the PC just freezes.
-I know that 2 drives should appear in My Computer.
-Sometimes they appear, sometimes they don't, and even when they appear they don't have a size and can't open them aswell.
-I tried reinstalling the zadig drivers, didn't work
-I tried flashing an older firmware, didn't work
-I tried reinstalling Companion2.1, didn't work

Anyone have any suggestions?

P.S. It worked yesterday, i did a Windows recovery and set it back a few days and it worked for the first time, but after that still having the same issues.

Have you tried a different USB cable?, I have at times had issues and turned out to be the USB cable..not all USB cables are the same.

I should have mentioned that Biggles. Yes I tried using different cables and the Taranis was also in Bootloader mode

have you tried connecting it without putting it in bootloader mode? see if your computer detects it as a game controller. that'll rule out bad cable. and also isn't there a driver that you have install before installing the zadig driver? and this might be a stupid question but i have to ask. have you tried a different computer?

I just wanted to share my 2 cents.  I just had this same problem with both my Taranis radios and 2 different computers....I could not either computer to recognize either radio.  And then i remembered that a usb cable is not always a usb cable. Some are charging cables some are DATA cables.  I discovered that fact 2 years ago while trying to get a simulator set up.

So make sure you have a good USB DATA cable when trying to get the computer and the radio/flight controller to communicate
