Tango 2 6.10 update
#1
Ok I'm trying to update to v6.10 on my new tango 2 because I couldn't quite get the gimbals to calibrate correctly and the new version is supposed to have some kind of improvement for stick calibration do I need to change the stick mapping layout if so do I need to change anything else ?

Actually Channel Mapping has nothing to do with stick calibration.

I do not have a Tango 2 but if you have run through the calibration process in FW 6.10 on the new firmware then things should have improved.

Do your channel end points make sense? Do they extend across all the range 1000 to 2000? Do they center at 1500?

Does the quad on the Receiver pages in Betaflight show the jitter in the movement?

Did you switch off the ADC filter?

I believe the ADC filter is already disabled by default in FreedomTX as it is in EdgeTX unless someone has explicitly switched it on. It is only OpenTX where it is enabled by default.

As for the channel mapping I was actually referring to the 6.10 release notes

I had a hard time to calibrate the control sticks, 21 tries on the left, 18 on the right.

I found it seems self explaining but there is more to it.
In the display it says where to move the stick, than there is a countdown from 3 to 1.
Do you:
Wait for the display - move the stick to the position – keep it there from the start countdown until the countdown is finished – back to center – and repeat.
Or
Wait for the display - move the stick to the position before the countdown is finished - back to center – and repeat.
Or
Directly move to the position – keep it there until countdown is finished - and repeat.

So I asked TBS

And the winner is:

Directly move to the position – keep it there until countdown is finished - and repeat.
wait for the position to move before moving to the next position
