0 I have only flown from Washington State to California with my Quad and Lipos. I had no issues. Had the quad with Props removed in my backpack. All Lipos had the terminals capped and were then wrapped in plastic wrap and stored in zip lock baggies inside of a Lipo Safe Bag. The only tool besides tape and zip ties I took was a small wrench for tightening and removing the propellers. I kept it in the bag with all the propellers. The wrench is the thing that I thought they would object to, but nothing happened. Everything stayed with me as carry on baggage. I told the TSA agent that I had a toy remote control helicopter inside my bag. He yelled back to the guy at the scanner and said "Toy copter" and sent me through. I did get through the scanning fast enough to peek at the xray screen and it was a trip to see my quad as this big discolored H inside my luggage. I did have a fail safe plan ready if I got into any hassles. My wife was waiting back on the other side to take any Lipos or "Dangerous" things they wouldn't let me take. I was more worried then they were concerned and everything went smooth. This was a few months ago. Just be polite to the TSA agent and everything should go smooth.
