When I mount the T60 motor to the Armattan chameleon, the C-clip touches the side wall of the frame.  This doesn't allow the motor to spin freely.  Anyone has a solution?  I don't want to cut into the frame because it will likely void the warranty.  I don't really want to place motor spacers.

Just drill a bigger hole.

I'm surprised that they hang down below the housing.  You might be able to replace them with 4mm E-clips (just be sure the ones you get are the right thickness, right inner diameter, and small enough outer diameter).  Check these: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/4mm-e-clip.h...tore=en_us

Hm maybe just bevel the hole on the upper side a bit, with a much larger drill for example. No need to drill all the way through.

Also this shouldn't weaken that spot, i've never seen an arm break at the center of the motor mount.

I emailed Armattan. They said just bevel the inside. I just didn't want to void the warranty on the frame by modifying it. Before I do that, I will likely trim the C-clip down.

I just wanted to share what I did to get the motor mounted.  Hopefully this helps other.

As you can see the motor shaft and C-clip do protrude pass the bottom.



Instead of modifying the frame, I found it easier to clip the little fingers on the C-clip with a small wire cutter.  One bit of advice, make sure you block out the opening into the motor.  I got one of the small metal piece I clip off fall into the motor.  It was a pain to get the C-clip off to get to the inside of the motor to remove the piece.



No more binding.  The opening of the Chameleon for the motor shift measured 7.5mm.  The measurement from the center of shift to the edge of the C-clip was 4mm.  Only 0.5mm too long, so you don't need to clip off too much.
