Hi all.

This will be a light review about a RTF quad from T-Drones.com

T-Drones is a chinese company, partnered with T-Motor, that creates several types of multicopter frames.
Their chinglish is strong!


With this new revamp of their previous version (warrior 200 > see review here), the Warrior 200 Pro aims to hit the race tracks and it doesn't do a bad job.


This new version has improved by a mile
It has:

- an F1 FC (naze32 compatible) with inbuild VTX boasting 600mw (you can use an attenuator to lower it to race values) OSD & rear programmable lights
- PDB with inbuild 20a ESC (XP20a)
- Allows PPM or SBUS receiver
- 5inch max props
- T-Motor F40 2300kv 
- Really nice spot to mount a gopro session
- Retail price: $289.9




























A few modifications after ....



So I thought .. what's up with every RTF quad coming from china having legs? 
I mean, in a way, when I was trying this quad and it "soft landed" (ergo crashed) it would end up almost always upwards on it's legs which is a really nice thing for a beginner.

But ... I didn't like them so I chopped them off and it looks a lot more baddass now.








Also, the craft comes preloaded with T-Drones firmware.
I tried several builds of Betaflight but could never quite get that locked in feeling for some reason.
I then tested Cleanflight latest build. it works like a charm and flies super smooth.



The real issue for me after chopping of f the legs is that the PDB is a lot more exposed as the "landing gear" now.



Something that I easily solved by adding a bit of extra carbon fiber under the craft.






PROS

- Solid frame
- ARTF, just need to add receiver
- Cleanflight/Betaflight ready
- Legs really help for crash landings if you are a beginner, but i'd cut them off once you feel comfortable enough.
- Fast as F%^£ once you start angling the camera to prohibitive angles
- Built in OSD
- Built in programmable lights/beeper
- You won't have to spend hours learning how to solder just so you can go for a 5 minute flight


CONS

- You are restricted in the use of lipos and they do sit quite close to the props so make sure you secure them tightly and ALWAYS check them after a crash and before taking off. I use 1500mha 4s 50-100 Drone Labs and they fit well
- Legs are the weakest link here and if you crash into concrete you will likely damage them
- Limited upgradability (FC/ESCs are inbuilt)
- Hard to change ESC settings. They do have programming pins but you'd have to disassemble the whole thing just to get to them.





Final thoughts are things to consider

First of all, if you want to get the best flight experience flash to cleanflight latest build if you are going to update the firmware. The target is naze32.
Remember that if you are going to chop the legs add an additional layer to protect the PDB. You can use a PPM or SBUS receiver. Didn't notice much difference.
You might consider upgrading to a better camera (650 tvl ccd) after a while. The camera bay is quite big and it allows for a bigger (better) camera then the one it brings.

All in all, if I was a new starter in this sport and this is was first race quadcopter I'd be quite happy. 
It's built strong and will handle some hard tumbles, and that is exactly what you will be doing when you start flying.
Also the F40 motors will give you more then enough power on 4S.

Great review, so it had hardware serial inversion for SBUS? Or did you need additional adapted?

And also about the OSD, is it minimosd and can you tune PIS with it??
