Swift 2
#1
Installed a Swift 2 on one of my quads and its AWESOME!  Video quality feels twice as good. Thanks guys!

I have also switched from the Swift 1 to Swift 2 and am super happy. The easy OSD is helping a lot if you don’t want to install a separate one.

Are there any recommendation for the setting? I still have them on default but I remember that I was changing quite a lot on my Swift 1

Swift 1 and 2 should be quite similar in terms of settings... here are mine:

I too have been using the Swift 2. At first I did have a problem with a loose PCB that would occasionally short against the housing bolts causing weird video issues (I'm in the works of making a thread about the issue and the fix) After a very quick fix and a good focus the DVR footage is great.
This was the first flights DVR after the fix.

thank you. I will check them out. I think I had my initial Settings from the Swift 1 from a StingersSwarm/FinalGlidAus YT Video and was quite happy:

"Quick reference Guide
WDR: ON
WDR Level: Max (63)
Day&Night: Color
Contrast: 104
Sharpness: Max (31)
Display: LCD"

I would be interested in that thread because i had yesterday for the first time an issue with the cam. After some maneuvers the picture got black in some areas and the cam reseted 2 times (with the RunCam "splash screen" in the center)...not sure what really happened but maybe it is the same issue that you had. Do you have DVR of your Problem? maybe is the same.

Runcam should give DoP free stuff because his DVR videos really make their cameras look good! I haven't seen DVR video that looked better.

Update: might have found the problem that i had with the swift 2. Found a rather lose ground wire on the plug for the camera. fixed it and added some hotmelt. have to still fly and check if the problem is gone.

here also a 25V 1000uF low ESR capacitor that added to my quad. Let see if the video quality has improved.

Update: so it seems that with the fix of lose ground wire the Problem was solved. But the Video looked very similar to what you posted in your thread.

hey Oscar, I tried these settings today in the field and I had to reset the cam afterwards. Everything was blue on my Swift 2 :( ...maybe there is a difference between the Settings on the Swift 1 and 2.
