Superhero heat-shrink for 18650 batteries
#1
ROFL I giggled to myself when visiting my local Vape Shop (E-cigarette store) this evening to get juiced up Wink

As I am browsing the display cases, this is what I found.

Needless to say, but, they had to be tested. Right?

Pretty tough match-up Wink

Now I need some a bit larger, with flames Tongue to use covering ESC's and arms on my next build!

I actually plan to use these to make two 4400mah packs for my goggles. Only have one 2200mah pack at the moment. Just waiting for the new vape batteries Wink

Those should be wide enough to fit over a 20A ESC, no? (Cut off the bottom and just leave the head?)

I showed them to a friend, now he wants them so bad... Big Grin
If you happen to stumble across an online shop that has those, please share. Smile

Well actually, if you just covered the ESC and not the arm as well, like I was thinking Doh  it would work fine for most. They would probably even fit my Racerstar MS35A's. Then I could just cover everything (ESC, arm, and LEDs) with clear for a clean look! I planned on grabbing more my next visit.

Ah, the power of multiple brains. Wink

And thanks for the ebay link.

Hey D0P, in case those are the elastic, "rubbery" type of shrink wrap, maybe you can stretch them a bit more? I do that quite often, however it's much easier with small pieces... i wouldn't have an idea how to stretch such large ones since you want to cover the whole arms...

However if it's the stiffer, plastic-ish sort it most likely doesn't work.

Yes, it is the harder to stretch, plastic stuff Wink
Still might be worth a try to use a small (like 4mm) wrench and screwdriver as a way to evenly stretch it.
