Super High PIDS!
#1
I feel like my pids are very high.

My P on roll and pitch is 120
I is 70 on both roll and pitch
D is around 50 on both

I'm not noticing any negative effects.  It just seems high.  In fact I think my I term can go up as its a little wobbly still and bumps around a bit in the wind.

Am I missing something.  It seems like the max input on my pids is 250 so realitive to that its not bad.

I know just enough about tuning to confuse myself.

Thoughts?

I guess it can be ok as long as it's not eating away power? One effect i know of is, that heavy props might somewhat mask oscillation issues for example.

But imho especially since rc smoothing was introduced, PIDs could go quite a bit higher than before.

So i've been flying this LOS so i wasn't seeing any of what was going on. I've always had trouble getting rid of that bumpiness we are seeing here. Granted its a windy day. Just by looking a the video what would you do with the pid?

PS

Dont mind the dude mowing my yard. I didnt know he was over there and he needs to mind his own business that is NOT his yard he lives several houses away.

I just reverted back to stock PIDS. I got carried away! Its better but I've had such a hard time tuning this ZMR250. Same back when it had a naze32 rev6 and now that it has an F4 board. Chasing the PID all over.

What version are you on? The dterm sliders are pretty important... If for example your dterm transition is still at 0.3, maybe test increasing that, it has huge influence on behaviour.

I'm on Betaflight 3.1.1

I have not touched the dterm sliders. I will give that a try Thanks!
