The motors sound a little choppy, almost like it's hitting something, but I've checked and there's definitely nothing the props could hit. Could this be oscillations/vibrations? The sound is similar to a grinding, and usually happens close to the ground (propwash maybe?) and how can I fix this?

Make sire the props are on tight and can't move on the spindle. Also make sure the LiPo balance lead is strapped/secured properly to stop it flailing into the prop blades.

Are you running the default Betaflight tune or have you messed around with any settings? And are you runing bi-directional DSHOT (for RPM filtering)?

Balance lead is secured, props are on fairly tight (maybe the issue?) I am running the default tune, and no I am not running bi-directional DSHOT. I have just been flying LOS so tuning hasn't been much of a concern at the moment. The eagle 3 I purchased is apparently out of stock...
