Stick OSD
#1
Using BF 4.1.6 I'm only able to access stick OSD  if I arm with the throttle let's say mid throttle then do the yaw left, pitch up.  Once the menu appears I can flip the arm switch off & proceed as expected.

If I try it without arming all I get are 4 flashing asterisks like so "* * * *".

Should the stick OSD be accessible without having to arm the quad first ?

This is happening on 2 different quads I've built - one using a Flywoo Goku F722 mini and the other a SucceX Micro F4 V2.1.

Thanks

You should be able to get into the OSD menu (CMS) without arming. You should not be able to access the menu when armed.

I think you have turn on a setting that only registered throttle when you arm. I can't remember where that setting is at the moment. I have to dig around a little.

Can you please run both the "dump" and "diff all" commands in the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab and copy/paste the results back here. If you've inadvertently managed to switch on an obscure setting then it should show up in the diff.

Another question, did you added some logic switch in your radio or modified the throttle channel in the radio?

Yeah, I do setup some throttle curves in my Taranis like so:

I3:Thr
Thr Weight (+100%) Switch (SG▲)
Thr Weight (+100%) Expo(50%) (SG-)
Thr Weight (+100%) Curve(CV1:Thr) Switch(SG▼)

CH3
I3:Thr Weight(+100%)
:= MAX Weight(-100%) Switch(SF▼) [Cut]

I'm starting to see where you're going with this!

I think this is your problem.

Switch(SF▼) [Cut]

Is SF your arm switch?

Yep, I've been using this sequence for a while now & found it on some how-to site somewhere. All along I've been wondering why I could never access the stick OSD menu until the other day when I finally noticed I could if armed.

This make total sense now.

Thanks for the pointer ...
