Here is another new spot. Great for a small race course! Raw uncut DVR footage. Smile

SOOOOOOO BAAAAD!

I have a Wimius HD cam but it just can't keep up with any kind of fast motion and powers off with any good bump.  Confused
And I just don't have the resources for a good high  end GoPro right now.

A Runcam Split is no option for you?

Take a look at the Mobius Mini: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Light-108...SwsBtaO2gS

Light weight and works great!

I do want the split for my NOX5R but I would have to replace the current FC PDB stack I have too. BF F4 AIO is in the works when finances recover. But we just had to replace the washer and dryer..... $1500...POOF............ :'(

The Mobius would be a great fit as it would work across my entire fleet and the form factor has always appealed to me. But I have had mixed feelings about actually pulling the trigger on it after I came across some mixed reviews of people just saying GoPro GoPro GoPro lol. I made the mistake of wasting money on the Wimius ""Action Cam"" and didnt want to be let down again.

You guys think the Mobius will do me well?

Well, a GoPro would be nice Big Grin ... but the Mobius Mini can be had for $60-70. I like mine. It's one drawback (IMO) is short battery life - about 30 minutes. However, you can power it externally, but it takes a special cable, etc...

Take some time to research the different lens types available. You can go normal or wide, and it's better to buy with the lens you want rather than replacing it later.

Check out the definitive support thread (Tom Franks) on RCG: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthre...questions)

Thank you. I reseached the lenses a while back and like the wide angle.
Ill have to just pull the trigger if I'm able to next week. Maybe find an odd job so the Mrs. doesn't hate me Wink

Pulled the trigger on the Mobius with C2 lens from GetFPV (along with a few other needed parts). Should have it by the weekend.

Any tips about firmware, settings, mods ect?

Didnt see a dedicated thread in the forum search here and I'll keep researching also.

If you got the original Mobius, it's a little bigger and the battery life is much better. I've got one of each (Mobius, Mobius 2, Mobius Mini), and they're all great! As far as settings go, you should experiment (there are MANY settings). If you are a windows user, get the free mSetup program (works with all 3 cams and has easy SD formatting, and firmware upgrades). The documentation/help with mSetup is pretty extensive. (One tip: I find it very handy to do different setups in each of the two available video modes.)

Each of these Cams has a dedicated support thread on RCG. Just google RC Groups Mobius (or Mobius 2 or Mobius Mini). Tom Franks has done a fantastic job on these. BTW, I mainly use my original Mobius for Hat-cam and tripod-cam. My M2 is permanently mounted on my LeftOvers Quad (main quad). My Mini is for my smaller quads (but is currently not mounted).

I haven't hardware modded any of mine. Some people replace the battery with a super capacitor. Some use a special cable to record and get FPV feed. Etc. I'm too lazy though. If I ever do a mod, it'll probably be for external power (which is pretty easy).
