SPRacing F3 EVO Flight controller
#1
new SPRacing F3 EVO (F3EVO) flight controller is released! Stackable design, SPI connected acc/gyro sensor, MicroSD card for logging

It looks good for an F3 board, good improvement over the last 2.

All 3 uarts are on headers, while UART2 is on header AND on JST-SH. You won't need to use JST-XH connectors if you're just building a racing quad. Through holes for S-Bus, buzzer, and motor outputs. Much better than the mini.

It support for logging to SD Card in CleanFlight and/or BetaFlight. practically unlimited blackbox on SD card.

It has an IR LED transponder, that you can attach the LED via cable and mount it anywhere.

I was kind of hoping to see a F4 board, but there is  no hardware inversion on F4 and is actually older and not a drop in replacement. I can see why they didn't do it on this FC.

A lot of people prefer the good old Betaflight 2.1.6 version, and you will find there will not be a target for this new FC LOL Smile

The FC can be stacked on top of a PDB which also seems to be designed by Dominic Clifton. You can see VBAT is connected to the PDB, and there is no wiring at all.

Me likey Smile. Can't find the pdb for it though. Do u have a link?
If it has 12/5v reg, LC filter and osd it will be a gift from heaven.

Just went to seriouslypro.com, and couldn't find any info about the PDB either...

Dominic said it will have all of those features.
I guess it will be my next FC when the PDB will be released.
I'm actually on the naze32 with the ZMR250 full PDB from Banggood... it's ok for now, also for my actual flying skills, but I want to build a lighter quad.

I have an external Blackbox SD already in my multirotor because I have no easy access to the area where the FC board is located.

Can I still use my external Blackbox SD board?

Would I have to disable the EVO's on board SD card?

Where would I connect my external SD card board?

In total I want to use a Blackbox, GPS, Bluetooth and Serial_RX.

How would I do this?

Can Bluetooth and GPS be on the same port?

I have servos on my MC that are connected to my Spektrum receiver and I use LiFe batteries to power my Spektrum receiver, can I use LiFe volts for my 5Vin to Evo (could be up to about 7v when fully charged).

If i have to, I have a 7amp 5v UBEC from HobbyKing but its output is still 5.7v, is this too much?

Sorry so many questions but manual has no range on 5Vin spec, nor info on where to put so many external devices.

Thanks
Dale
