So disappointed to be working when...
#1
Working from home today when a loud knocking at my door broke my concentration.

Had a bit of a sigh, went to the door and saw this person holding a rather large box. Hmm what is this then.

Opened it up and went tada. Presents. I love presents.

Bloody hell this is such a distraction. I so want to start building My new quad Smile

Yes the new radio is a bit bright but that is the only special edition X9D available in the country.

Ooooo a little box just arrived. It had my motors and vtx.

Got everything now except for all the bits I didn't think about like motor pads, vtx aerial mount, gps mount and camera mount maybe as I think I have something for that.

1st true build from scratch so pretty exciting.

Just have to fix the two quads I killed on the weekend before I start. 1 hour to go until I can start building and fixing things Smile

I like the look of your X9D....I don't know if that variety of X9D comes with the Hall gimbals, but if not, you will want to change to them when you have the cash.  It's an easy swap and Oscar has a tutorial HERE to help you thought it.

I look forward to seeing your build. Popcorn

All four of the skinned X9D+ transmitters including the above "Blazing Skull" one that the OP has are Special Edition models that come with the M9 hall effect gimbals already installed, which is a nice bonus Smile

Yep it is a very bright. I spent days going over whether I could handle it as I am a subtle type of person and don't normally do bright gadgets.

Seems pretty good. It has all the good stuff on it. The throttle is weird as it is keyed/ratchety (don't know the right word) where I am used to the really smooth feel of the Spektrum.

I'll get used to it I'm sure Smile

If you can bear to take your brand new X9D+ SE apart then...

For about $20 on eBay, you can get stick decals to cover all that flamboyant flames with whatever you want.

I am really starting to love this hobby. Always something to change or modify Smile.

To be honest for longer range flying it will probably be a good thing having a ratchet on the throttle. I will give it a few days of flying first before I make any decisions.

As for the colour. Well it is pretty cool according to my granddaughter lol
