Hey, if I use Smart Audio on the Unify Pro for tuning/changing channels, whatever, via the Taranis... do I lose the ability to connect a microphone?

yes. Unless you use some kind of a jumper to switch between smart audio and the mic. I tried doing a "V" split into the pin (sharing audio port for microphone and smart audio), but there is signal from the mic that smart audio didn't like and didn't work.
