What is the smallest receiver that is compatible with the Taranis? I have an orange module and could use a lemon rx but I'm skeptical when it comes to running spektrum gear.
Smallest receiver for Taranis / Frsky TX ? |
01-Jun-2016, 10:12 PM What is the smallest receiver that is compatible with the Taranis? I have an orange module and could use a lemon rx but I'm skeptical when it comes to running spektrum gear. 01-Jun-2016, 10:23 PM The X4R is very small and runs Sbus and Smartport telemetry just fine. Otherwise there is the XSR, that I know less about. Its supposed to be a smaller FrSky receiver. I believe you will need to solder your own wires antennas with this one. 01-Jun-2016, 10:24 PM You're only sceptical because you're not running spektrum gear, I've heard bad things about those orange modules. If you can get a genuine spektrum module it should work very well with the lemonrx diversity sat 01-Jun-2016, 10:28 PM Smallest rx I've found compatible with frsky system is the Micro Frsky RX. It only has 300m range due to the fact its the size of a 5v regulator with built in antenna. Also check out the SRP8 that is recently released, not as small as the Micro Frsky but still very interesting, has telemetry as well. 01-Jun-2016, 10:29 PM I think the smallest RX I've seen (minus antenna) now is probably the SubMicroLRS RX from Brotronics. Otherwise probably the XSR. 09-Jul-2016, 02:39 PM FrSKY Receivers MicroFrX Receiver (a tiny receiver for your micro builds no telemetry) FrSKY 8CH Receiver RX PPM (micro receiver with PPM no telemetry) FrSKY XSR (SBUS or PPM with telemetry) Best option for all my builds 06-Oct-2016, 05:47 PM Hi all, I'm new to the world of FPV racing drones. Just bought a Blade Inductrix but wanna practice flying using the Taranis Plus. Read about OrangeRX but it seems no one has it. I'm just curious if this (http://www.banggood.com/Tiny-Frsky-8CH-R...mds=search) would work with the Blade Inductrix? Or any alternatives? Thanks in advanced! 06-Oct-2016, 07:02 PM Your only option currently is to get a beebrain that has integrated frsky receiver This is the smallest one you can find at the moment, but it is DIY. Soon we'll have integrated FrSky receivers on the FC or All-in-one boards I think :-) http://fishpepper.de/projects/usky/ 07-Oct-2016, 10:42 AM (07-Oct-2016, 10:20 AM)AndreyM Wrote: getting a sample from him to check out... 23-Oct-2016, 08:11 PM (06-Oct-2016, 05:47 PM)tinkerfy Wrote: Hi all, (06-Oct-2016, 07:02 PM)Oscar Wrote: Your only option currently is to get a beebrain that has integrated frsky receiver http://forum.flitetest.com/showthread.ph...ur-Taranis Here's another option, involves a bit of tinkering and a few bits |
