I'm currently tinkering with a X2 elf frame that I have mounted a Runcam OWL to.
In order to cut some weight i tried mounting a 2g backbone(7.5mm F3.0 1/2.5′ 3MP Low Profile M12 Lens) lens to it. This made the owl a really nice little lightweight package.
However it felt like flying around with a zoom lens at high speed due to the low FOV. On top of that I had also removed the IR filter. It was quite an experience ...
Are there wide angle lenses that will have an image circle large enough to fill the 1/1.8 sensor while keeping the weight at 2g or lower?
Maybe any of the stock runcam lenses designed for 1/3 sensors could do the job? I could adapt them to fit the M12 or even make a custom casing if need be.
Will i see vingetting? Are there other lenses to try?
