15 always look at the plug(antena) not at the jack (vtx/vrx)...
now the tricky part if something sticks there "penis" it is sma...
if the stick is not there "remove penis" it is RP...SMA - now you will remember what RP stands for in this area...
this is the only way i can remember it. Kudos to Konrad easy way to remember it and... as almost grownups...

0 Bump and follow up. I ran my vtx antenna through the prop blender this weekend. After much reading here and rcgroups.com and others, I've noticed that my vtx antenna port is an RP-SMA jack, but the jack on my Quanum Cyclops "goggle" is an SMA. Now the recommendation is for both tx and rx to be the same polarity. I was hoping someone could verify that before I buy a new vtx.
I'm looking to upgrade the stir stick style antennas on the quad and goggles both, so want to make sure I get the best compatibility for quality and range.
