SIGNAL PROBLEM
#1
Hi guys, 3 days ago i lost my drone in a tree and i couldnt find it. Today i decided to go search for it and found it. I test flew it without my goggles and seemed to fly fine. Then i went home and i tested it with my goggles and something was wrong. I am only 50 cm away from the drone and when i look at it with my goggles i have good image but when i look up i just see snow and when i look at it i have image. By the way my osd the bars that tells you how good the signal is , it tells me 0.

Make sure you haven't inadvertently switched the VTX into pit mode. Also make sure the goggles are on the exact same band/channel frequency as the VTX is broadcasting on. Manually tune your goggles to the same band/channel. Don't use the auto-scan feature as that often locks onto the wrong frequency, and even if it's only a few MHz off that make quite a bit of difference.

Pressing and holding the PWR button on the RUSH TANK Racing VTX switches pit mode on or off, so try doing that to see if that changes anything.

If the goggles are tuned in correctly and the VTX isn't in pit mode then a few other things to check:-
  1. Check that the VTX antenna on the quad isn't damaged and that the connector to the VTX is seated properly (unplug and re-plug it).
  2. Do your goggles work fine with another quad?
  3. Are you using a SmartAudio connection from the RUSH TANK Racing VTX to your FC? If you are then please run both the "dump" and "diff all" commands in the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab and copy/paste the results back here.
Did it rain at all while your quad was stuck in the tree? If so then there could be some possible water damage to the VTX.

VTX could have been damaged when it was turned on and sitting there for probably 10 mins or more. When the motor is not spin, it can take the other electronics a long time to drain the battery.
