Setting up VBAT
#1
Hello guys,

I've been in the process of doing my first 250 build and i'm currently getting ready to install a VBAT connection to my Naze 32 (full). I've looked at videos of Painless360 and he was using a JST connection cable. I was wondering, does it matter what cable i use? Can i just use a cable lying around or do i need to buy these specific cables? Does the thickness matter? because i have plenty of cable around that is a bit thinner but has the sockets for the board, liek the recycled ESC connections.... I was thinking in this case i could save 10 bucks. Also, does that connection go directly into the battery? and if it does is it the thick wires or the balance plug?

Thank you so much for your help!

Any cable would do fine.. You are not passing much current through, just signal really

But isn't the VBAT gona be directly coonected to the thick 14.8V wires coming out of the battery?

yes, but it doesn't matter what the voltage is for what we use (under 30V mostly)... in that case the thickness of the wire is determined by the current the flow through it.
