I've read a quite a bit on this topic and I have a few questions, mainly from Oscar's blog entry here http://blog.oscarliang.net/sbus-smartpor...ry-naze32/
It seems that mainly this "hack" usually involves the naze32 rev5 with the X4r receiver or the naze32 rev6 with the X8r receiver. I have the naze32 rev5 board with an X8r. Am I wasting my time or will this same process work?
If all it takes is connecting SBUS out to pins ground, power, and pin 4 on the naze32, then what is the purpose or benefit of making an inverter cable. Is that so you can using pin 1 on the naze32 instead of pin 4?
And then I'm pretty squared away with the smart port being the same on the x8r as it is on the x4r, and that signal wire will go to both pins 5&6 on the FC.
I bought the taranis with the x8r and I will get the d4r receiver if I have to but it would be nice to make it work with what I have.
Thanks.
