Having done that to myself and very nearly launched Quad into my face while simultaneously being showered in leaves twigs gravel and prop fragments in could be a fun vid, although not so much for the star!

Yeah, the key is to make sure that you or someone doesn't just randomly arm while you're getting or holding the quad.

Well... the person who records it (maybe you?) could just demonstrate  with the quad off holding it and motioning toward their face and have someone throw debris around (not at) the person...

I am about half way done with the failsafe video... I just need to do the betaflight walkthrough again because my first go of it in a video didn't look as good as a slideshow probably will (better timing to narration). I am taking vacation all week next week but only out of town for a couple of days so I'll likely get the chance to finish it soon.

"Don't use motor_stop even if you're tempted"

Apologies for reviving an old topic. Why would we not want to use motor stop?

Because if you switch motor stop ON you have no visual indication as to whether or not your quad is armed. With motor stop OFF, you at least get to see when your quad is armed because the props will then all be spinning at an idle speed while armed. So turning motor stop OFF acts as a safety feature.

And there are a few more safety tips at the bottom of the following post...

Don't hold quad in your hand to
arm it ! I done that with my first build I didn't even realize the motors were not all spinning the right way I was just so excited to have it all working that I wanted to try it luckily the props were not super tight they were glass nylon man I armed that thing it spun ok but I moved it and man that prop shattered and flew off after it buried itself bone deep in my hand idk which hurt more the gash or feeling or pure stupidity like oh that's why it's dangerous another unexpected reaction I was out flying I set the quad on the tail gate of my truck sat down opposite side put my goggles on tried to take off man that thing attacked me like a pissed of rooster I seen when I took off it instantly started drifting toward me but all I could do was flinch and think all the sudden movements made it worse
