Running 3S on 12V Step down voltage regulator
#1
Is it okay to run a 12v stepdown PDB, on a 3s battery, since the voltage on the LiPo can drop below 12V?

is that going to cause noise for the VTX?

I read someone mentioned this a while ago, and I am planning on doing just that in my building with a Amoway 200mw and Demon Core PDB.

I think it should be fine.

It shouldn't cause noise, it'll just output a bit less than the input voltage, because voltage regulator always has some voltage drop, typically around 1.2v, so you might see output is 1.2V less than the input when it's below 12V.

Though my RCX PDB does make some funny buzzing sound on 3S but not on 4S (apparently that's the switching regulator and it's normal)
