When can we expect this to hit the market?
is it a 600tvl,650tvl or 700tvl??

Runcam Swift - should be available in 1 or 2 weeks - same spec as SkyPLUS so 600TVL

Most likely, Runcam does not provide an option to select no IR-filter.

I think they are all IR-blocked, but TBH not much point going IR sensitive on these cams, they work pretty well in low light anyway... if you need to fly somewhere completely dark they have the OWL camera which works pretty good Smile

Is it just me or does the HS 1177 look better in the video posted by Oscar? Branches in particular seem to have more definition?

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Also I would like to see something in fount of the Sun to compare as the HS 1177 seemed to have better bright light blocking to let you see something directly in line with the sun. Both cameras look good but I'd have to say the HS 1177 looked better for FPV but then again it could be the setup, lots of variables to adjust. But really like the mounting system and orange color better as black is just to had to see and would like the cases to come in blue and red as well to match my wiring mesh color as well as my planes pin stripes;-).

After trying the Runcam Swift I must say I am very happy with it.

I like the bracket it comes with as well as the locking screws so you can lock the tilt.
The additional back plate and hanging bracket is a nice touch.
The video dongle is a welcome addition and actually makes it easy to do adjustments in the camera without the need of 3rd party cables.

While I have only looked at the default settings I have not yet changed anything as at the time of testing the picture was perfectly fine.

On default settings I found the Runcam Swifts video just as good as the HS1177,perhaps a tad better.
I did notice the picture is a little sharper as I was able to make out some of the little ninja ghost twigs much easier than with the HS1177.

Still early days yet as I have not been able to test it under different outdoor lighting conditions, but so far so good.

Would I buy it to replace my existing fleet of HS1177's ?, NO

Would I buy them as replacements to broken HS1177's ? , YES

Personal taste, But I honestly would have loved the pre-production model colour of orange.
