72 I'm not into branded products, but as this is just a Swift 2 with RR branding and a couple of tweaks to the default settings, I'm sure it will perform just as well as the non-branded version.

31 I think it also has an upgraded lens, but you're right Unseen it's mostly just a camera that you could do yourself without the branding. I don't think it's too much more expensive if I remember so for the most part it's OK... except for my personal disdain for runcam... but that's a personal issue between me and runcam :p
I have a buddy who uses this camera and likes it better than the standard swift 2... or I think he does... unless by all-caps NEW you mean there is another edition after the first one? Anyway I think my friend who flies the camera uses these exclusively on new builds... I don't know if it's because they're that much better or if it's because he has a bunch that he got on a deal. Either way could be true and I don't see him often enough to be able to ask him why he likes them unfortunately.

72 The price for the camera on the RR store is very competitive. Banggood charge $43 for the Swift 2 and RR charge $45 for their locally stocked branded version.
That's a pretty good deal if you're on your side of the pond.

Other than watching through the goggles when my friend flew, but not really looking specifically to see if the quality on the camera was good or not: no. I also don't expect to be installing any new Runcam products on any of my machines in the future.
I have a standard swift 2 on one of my quads and it's equal to my HS1177s (v1 and v2).
I'll be curious to hear your feedback on it. Especially if you've flown the swift 2 in the past!

Ah, in that case... absolutely no experience with the product at all... lol... sorry :p
