0 10-Nov-2017, 10:05 AM (This post was last modified: 10-Nov-2017, 10:07 AM by gmk.) I've just built up a GEPRC LX5 with Emax Magnum and Runcam Split 2, all was good then I did some fast agressive 180º flips, then another to be upright again, then video cut out. I could still see the OSD from the Omnibus F4 board, so I am thinking the runcam board got hit by a power spike and went grey.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm waiting on a 25V 1000uf cap to put onto the AIO PDB/ESC VCC today to see if that helps smooth things out, we'll see!
Any other ideas very welcome!

72 Are you powering the Split straight off battery power?

72 I doubt if the 5V regulator would dip. Maybe it's not really a 3A capable regulator - many of them aren't. If the regulator was overloading, I'd expect time in the air to be what makes the Split drop out rather than a violent move.
I'd have to suspect an unreliable power connection to the Split. See if shaking the quad will trigger the problem. If it does, you probably need to replace the wires that feed power to the Split's board.

I did try shaking the quad pretty hard and couldn't replicate the problem, but I probably wasn't creating such abrupt changes in rotational force as a 180º flip with my rates > 1000 deg/s
Thanks for the input.

6 Try hooking up the Runcam to 12v if it accepts it.
